Basildon Foodbank
is operated by The Redeemed Christian Church of God, ‘ Majesty Connections’ supported by community volunteers and in partnership with other local churches. Basildon Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network, a Christian charity committed to community action against poverty in the UK.
Using a voucher referral system, foodbank works with front-line care professionals in the borough to support people in crisis with three days of emergency food supplies while a long-term solution to the crisis is being arranged.
In addition to food parcels, the foodbank also signposts clients to appropriate services in the borough to help them meet their underlying needs. All food supplies come from donations made by local people and businesses, and go to local people in crisis.
Your gifts of time, funds or food can help stop local people going hungry. We could not do it without you. You can donate non perishable food items at Pitsea Leisure Centre.
