Bar N Bus

If you are in the Town Centre on a Thursday night you might see an unusual bus drive into the central pedestrian area and park near St Martin’s Church. Its paintwork is like no other bus that you might spot at the Bus Station and inside it is set up as a cafe. This bus is rented every week by Churches Together in Basildon to be a mobileYouth Centre where Christians from the churches can meet local youth that are on the streets, have a hot chocolate together and talk about life. On Monday nights the bus is outside Lidl’s in Laindon where a different group of Christians meet with another group of young people and similar conversations take place over similar drinks.
